EYC (Episcopal Youth for Christ) is a
fellowship for students in grades 6-12. This fellowship meets weekly and emphasizes the relationships we have with God and with each other.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
St. Paul's Youth Ministry exists...
To Know Jesus
To Show Jesus To Share Jesus
Our EYC Bible Verse is 1 Timothy 4:12:
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but you set the example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
We look forward to having anyone come to be part of this fellowship. We have young people from many different schools who find they are accepted and cared about without peer pressure of school life.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We meet weekly and have programs based around five different areas:
- Social/Group Development
- Ministry by the Youth
- Faith Development
WHAT IS THE DESIGN TEAM?
EYC is overseen by a Design Team made up of adult youth ministers and teenage leaders. This team meets monthly to review, plan, and execute the programs chosen by the teenagers. They are always open to program ideas and want their EYC to be the best in the area. St. Paul's Episcopal Church has a GREAT youth ministry team headed by our Youth Minister.
WHO ARE THE ADULT YOUTH MINISTERS?
St. Paul's has developed some awesome Lay Adult Youth Ministers:
These adults have completed the "Safeguarding God's Children" course and are trained in youth ministry.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE PROGRAMS I CAN LOOK FORWARD TO?
We always have a great opening BASH at the beginning of each school year.
You might see the youth of St. Paul's participating in:
- Mission Trips
- Pie Ministry
- College Care Packages
- Scavenger Hunts
- Bible Study
- The 30-Hour Famine
- Sleep Out 4 Independence
